Spinach Seed

Note: Germination instructions are not on seed packets, follow the instructions below for starting seed.

Plant spinach seed outdoors as soon as the soil can be worked. Plant in rows 24 inches spacing seed 1 inch apart in the row. Cover spinach seed with 1/4 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until spinach seeds start to grow. For a second crop plant spinach in late Summer or early Fall.
When Spinach plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin or transplant 6 to 8 inches apart in the row.
