Sow Rhubarb Chard seed outdoors as early as the ground can be worked. Plant in rows 18 inches apart, with seeds 1 inch apart in the row. Cover seed with 1/2 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until plants start to grow.
When plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin to 8 to 10 inches apart.
