St. Johns Wort Seeds
Note: Germination instructions are not on seed packets, follow the instructions below for starting seed.
Needs 4 weeks cold stratification, pack seeds in damp sand or peat, then put in refrigerator for 4 weeks, then plant. Plant in sterlized potting mix and lightly cover with vermiculite or sand. Keep soil slightly damp, provide warmth/ bright light.

Plants can be harvested in mid July when in full bloom. Oil infusions or tincture should be made from fresh plants to be the most effective medicine.
The original uses of this versatile plant, before it became popular as a natural anti-depressant however, were treating rheumatism and gout. Herbal oils infused with fresh St. John's wort are anti-inflammatory and analgesic.
