Parsley Seeds

Note: Germination instructions are not on seed packets, follow the instructions below for starting seed.

Sow parsley seed outdoors as early as the ground can be worked. Plant in rows 15 inches apart, spacing seeds 1/2 inch apart in the row. Cover parsley seed with 1/4 inch of fine soil, well pressed down. Keep soil moist until plants start to grow.
When parsley plants are 2 to 3 inches tall, thin to 4 or 5 inches apart.

Parsley is very high in vitamin c. It is a very familiar herb, used to decorate savoury dishes. The leaves can be finely chopped for sauces and fish dishes, salads and cooked vegetables. Hot Parsley tea is a tonic and diuretic and is supposed to help rheumatism.
