Sowing:
For early cauliflower crop, start seed indoors 6 to 8 weeks before last frost date. For later crop plant directly outdoors in late Spring or early Summer. Space cauliflower seeds 2 inches apart in rows spaced 2 to 2-1/2 feet apart. Cover cauliflower seeds with 1/8 inch of fine soil, well pressed down.
Thinning
When cauliflower plants are 3 to 4 inches tall, thin or transplant 2 to 2-1/2 feet apart.
